Madonna to headline Super Bowl 2012?
Now that football is back in season, it’s time to start thinking about the Super Bowl. Regardless if your beloved team makes it to the final two, there’s one thing everyone can agree on: the need for a quality entertainment halftime show.
In the past, the Super Bowl has featured headliners like The Black Eyed Peas, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Justin Timberlake, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Janet Jackson and Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. Now, rumor has it that Madonna could be taking the Super Bowl XLVI stage.
Neither the NFL nor Madonna has commented on any type of agreement, but one online news source has reports that “sources close to the event” have confirmed the partnership. In the past, however, Madonna was mentioned for the 1998 and 2000 Super Bowl entertainment, though a deal was never reached.
So far, the only way to see the Material Girl live is with Madonna tickets. Right now she’s currently working on her 12th studio album, which will debut in Summer 2012.
